| Brown meat, chopped onion, celery, and garlic. Add
broth and water chestnuts and bring to a boil. Toss in washed bean
sprouts and simmer for 5 minutes or until bean sprouts are limp. Mix
the soy sauce and cornstarch in a small bowl; add to the boiling
mixture. Add enough cornstarch to make a thick "gravy". Taste
and add more soy sauce, if necessary. Serve in over cooked rice and top with chow mein noodles. Yield: 6-8 servings |
